Thursday, September 2: Cultural Encounters Night
Young locals will be invited to the Institute to meet you! First., we will do several bilingual ice-breakers before heading to the cafeteria or garden of the Institute for free tapas. This is a chance for you to make a new friend and practice your Spanish! You can sign up for this free activity on the bulletin board outside the front office. Saturday, September 4: Study Tour to Segovia
Join Syracuse University professors for a day trip to Segovia. You won´t want to miss this quaint medieval town, its magnificent Gothic cathedral, and impressive Roman aqueduct. Buses leave at 9am from c/Almagro 36 (metro: Rubén Darío). Sign up in the computer lab. Cost: 10 euros. Tuesday, September 7: Information session on Morocco
People from Morocco Exchange NGO will come to talk about the trip to Morocco scheduled for October. Don't miss the opportunity to converse with local families, students, and professors as to travel though Rabat, Asilah, Chefchaouen, the Riff mountains, and Tangiers. The meeting will take place at 13,30h. Classroom 101.

History of Study Abroad at Syracuse University

Syracuse University has a long history of international education, beginning with a study abroad program in China in the 1920s, to post-WWII faculty led tours in Europe and programs in Latin America through the 50s and 60s, to the launch of the SU Madrid in 1972. READ MORE
